Meet Dr. Sol Laski
About Our Office
![]() Education I attended the University of Toronto, where I obtained my Bachelor of Engineering and Applied Science degree in 1971, and Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1975. I then completed my hospital residency at Mount Zion Hospital in San Francisco. In 1976, I entered the postgraduate program in Orthodontics at the University of Toronto and graduated with a Diploma in Orthodontics in 1978. I opened my office in Markham upon graduation, and have been in a solo private practice since then, treating both children and adults. Continuing Education As a certified specialist in orthodontics, I keep current on the latest advancements in orthodontics. I offer a wide range of treatment options including clear or metal braces, Invisalign®, and the Damon System®. Professional Experience In addition to my private practice, I spent 15 years as an orthodontic instructor at the University of Toronto, Faculty of Dentistry. I spent five years as the orthodontist for the Metro Toronto Children’s Aid Society, providing orthodontics for children in their care. I have been actively involved in the Alpha Omega Dental Fraternity and am currently an executive of the Ontario Association of Orthodontists, serving as the President from 2005-2006. I am also a member of the Canadian Association of Orthodontists. Outside the Office I am proud to have my eldest child, Dr. Brian Laski, join me in orthodontic practice. We are the only parent-child pair to have graduated from the University of Toronto’s Graduate Orthodontic program. My wife and I have three other children of whom we are also very proud. I am an avid golfer, skier and hockey player, and I enjoy traveling. |
